Refund and cancellation policy
Syctech India Private Limited · Effective date: April 2026
1. Summary
Recharges made through the Syctech app add prepaid balance to your electricity meter wallet. Once a recharge is credited to the wallet it is generally not refundable, because it is available for your electricity use straight away. We refund money in the cases set out below. All refunds are paid back through the payment gateway to the original payment method; we do not make cash refunds. Every refund is subject to internal approval by Syctech India Private Limited after due diligence. By going ahead with a payment, you agree to this policy and to our Terms of use.
2. Failed or pending payments
If money was debited from your account but the payment failed, or the app showed “status unknown”:
- Most pending payments are confirmed automatically within a few minutes and credited to your wallet.
- If the payment ultimately fails, your bank or the payment gateway reverses the amount automatically, usually within 5 to 7 working days.
- If neither happens within 48 hours, contact us (see How to request a refund) and we will either credit your wallet or refund the payment.
3. Duplicate or excess payments
If you were charged twice for the same recharge, or more than the amount shown in the app, we will refund the extra amount after checking it with the payment gateway, provided you tell us within 30 days of the payment.
4. Wrong meter or wrong amount
If you recharged the wrong meter or entered a wrong amount, contact us within 7 days. If the balance has not yet been used, we will, with your Society’s agreement, move it to the correct meter or refund it. We cannot reverse balance that has already been consumed.
5. Cancelling a recharge
You can cancel a payment at any time before you complete it on the payment page; nothing is charged. A recharge cannot be cancelled, and is not refunded, once it has been credited to your wallet or a recharge token has been generated, except in the cases above or where Syctech accepts that there is a sufficient reason.
6. Moving out
When you move out, any unused wallet balance is settled against the final meter reading and dues for your flat, according to your Society’s rules. Any balance left after that is settled through your Society, which is Syctech’s client. Where your Society asks Syctech to return it, we refund it to the original payment method as described below.
7. How to request a refund
Email support@syctech.in with:
- your registered mobile number, Society and flat number;
- the date, amount and transaction ID (shown in the app or your bank or UPI app);
- a short description of the problem.
We will acknowledge your request within 2 working days and tell you the outcome within 7 working days.
8. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are sent to the original payment method through our payment gateway (Easebuzz). Once we start the refund, it usually reaches you within 5 to 7 working days, depending on your bank. For questions, write to support@syctech.in.
