Automatic changeover with current limiter (ACCL)
Syctech ·
Uninterrupted power matters in homes, offices, factories and hospitals alike. Syctech’s Automatic Changeover with Current Limiter (ACCL) switches the load between mains electricity and generator backup on its own when the power fails, and switches it back when mains returns.
Built around a microcontroller, the ACCL transfers load safely, prevents electrical faults and keeps supply running without anyone having to operate a switch.
What it does
The ACCL transfers the electrical load between the mains supply and the generator during an outage. Intelligent interlocking and controlled switching make sure both sources are never connected at the same time, and the current limiter holds each connection to its permitted load on backup.
Key features
- Operating voltage: 130 V – 280 V
- Automatic load shifting between mains and DG supply
- LED indicators for mains and generator
- Microcontroller-based interlocking protection
- Output resumes instantly when mains returns
- Built-in power supply for the control circuit
- Longer contactor life through smart circuit design
- Safe, reliable automatic switching

Monitoring and integration
- RS485 communication for remote monitoring
- Web and app-based monitoring
- Works with Syctech IoT and smart metering systems
- Real-time operational status
Why automate the changeover?
Manual changeover depends on someone being available, causes delays and carries the risk of back-feeding or overloading the generator. An ACCL removes those risks:
- Fast, safe power transfer
- Less manual intervention
- Better equipment protection
- Smooth integration with backup power
Where it is used
- Residential buildings and townships
- Industrial facilities and manufacturing units
- Commercial complexes and offices
- Hospitals and critical infrastructure
